Is JClickParty.com Free?

Guests are offered a one-time, fourteen-day FREE trial membership so that they can see what JClickParty.com is like from the inside. Normal membership fees are $14.95 per month or $39.95 for three months.

Why Should I Have To Pay To Use JClickParty.com?

Most chat rooms you find on other sites are very basic and in many cases cluttered with ads and links to other sites. JClickParty.com was designed and built as a premium service that combines the best feature/functionality of existing chat rooms and online dating services and more! By providing JClickParty.com on a subscription basis, we are able to bring you a high-quality, cutting edge service with members that are serious, just like you, about meeting new friends and more.

Is JClickParty Available Nationwide?

JClickParty.com is available in over 550 cities across the United States and Canada, but not necessarily everywhere in those countries. JClickParty.com is set up as a community-based service or in what we call Metropolitan Service Areas (MSAs). Example: Atlanta, GA is an MSA. The Atlanta, GA MSA includes the City of Atlanta and all of its surrounding counties and suburbs. It may also include members that don't live in the local Atlanta area, but live close enough that they want to participate in the Atlanta MSA community. For a complete list of cities, click here.

Is JClickParty.com Confidential?

Yes & No. Just as in real life, you are never required to reveal your full name, E-mail address, or other personal information on your profile or to anyone once your are inside the JClickParty.com chat room area. However, you will need to identify yourself when you register for a membership. Your likeness (image) will be shown to others (members and guests) on JClickParty.com; a record of chat conversations may be kept by us; and your chat conversations will be overheard by others....again, a lot like a night out on the town.

If you email another JClickParty member, your email address will be revealed to that member.

Are There Any Rules Of Conduct For JClickParty.com?

Yes. This is an upscale establishment for "grown ups" and you are expected to act as you would if you were going out to an upscale club. A transcript may be kept of any conversations you engage in and will be available for review by our staff. We also encourage members to report behavior that they find offensive immediately via our "Etiquette Violation" reporting system.

Rude, offensive, or other behavior that in our opinion interferes with the enjoyment of our guests or members and potentially harms our image will result in your ejection from JClickParty.com and possible membership cancellation without refund of your membership fee. Please read our Etiquette Policy for further details.

How Do I Join JClickParty.com?

To sign up for your FREE 14-day JClickParty.com trial membership, simply:

1. Complete the member profile.
2. Upload a digital image of yourself along with your application.

Your photo will be posted after it is reviewed by our staff to ensure it meets our photo guidelines. You will receive an email confirming your photo's posting or an explanation as to why it was not posted.

You will have 7 days to provide an acceptable chat room "head shot" photo for posting. If an acceptable photo is not provided within 7 days, your membership will be suspended until such a photo is approved.

What Internet Browsers Does JClickParty.com Require?

JClickParty.com requires users to have Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0 and above and Netscape 6.0 and above.

I Don't See My High School or College Listed In Your List. How Can I Get The List Updated?

Our list of high schools and colleges does not include schools that may have previously closed or changed names. If your school is not listed, click on the "School Not Listed?" link and supply all of the requested information including the school's name, city, and state. The city should be the city the school is physically located in, not the metropolitan area.

We will verify the school information and add it to our list. We will also email you back to inform you that your school has been added and you can then update your profile.

Why Can't I Use My High School or College As Part Of My Search Criteria?

Why Do I Have To Provide My Picture To Join JClickParty.com?

The internet, in so many respects, is an anonymous place where people can be whomever they want or claim to be. But it's basic human nature to want to be able to see whom you are talking to. And since we are creating a "night on the town" atmosphere, expecting to see the face of the person you are talking to isn't too much to ask.

There is no doubt that physical attraction plays a big part in our meeting new people. People find others attractive and unattractive for a variety of reasons every day. But if someone doesn't want to talk to you just because of the way they perceive you look, then it's their loss. JClickParty.com is intended as a comfortable place for people of all shapes, sizes, and religious and ethnic backgrounds to meet, greet, and mingle.

Internet dating statistics have proven that posting your photo increases your odds (up to 70% we've been told) of meeting a new friend or more. Unless you really have something to hide, why wouldn't you want to provide a picture for your profile?

JClickParty.com strives to remove the anonymity that exists on so many online dating sites these days. But, if you still want to remain anonymous on the internet, then JClickParty.com is probably not the place for you to meet new people.

How Can I Get A Digital Image of Myself?

You can get a digital image of yourself from a number of sources:

  • by taking a new photograph using a digital camera,

  • by scanning an existing photograph into your PC. If you don't have a digital camera or scanner, ask a friend that does to help you out. You can log-in from your friend's PC and upload your photos from there.

What Are Your Requirements/Guidelines For Submitting A Photo?

Our photo requirements are very simple:

1. Make sure photos are clear, recent and in-focus!
2. Do not submit composite/collage or indecent photos.
3. You are the only person visible in the picture. ("Head Shot" photo)
4. Your head and shoulders are visible. ("Head Shot" photo)
5. You are facing the camera. (Both photos)
6. You are recognizable. (Both photos)
7. It must be a .jpg file and:

  • less than 60K bytes ("Head Shot" photo)
  • less than 100K bytes (general photo)
We reserve the right to choose whether to post, edit or reject any photo submitted…

How Long Will It Take For You To Review My Photo(s)?

Our goal is to review photos within 24-48 hours of their submission. Once photos are approved, they are immediately uploaded to your profile. If your membership was suspended because no photo had been submitted, it will immediately be reinstated when the photo is approved.

If your photo is not approved, the email notifying you along with the reasons why will be sent to you immediately after the review.

If My membership Is Suspended Because I Haven't Submitted An Acceptable Photo Within The Required 7 Days, Does The Clock Continue To Run On My membership?

Yes. Even while your membership is in a suspended mode, your membership time will continue to expire.

Can I Change My Photos?

Yes. As long as the new photo you submit meets our photo guidelines.

JClickParty.com "Face-to-Face" Chat Rooms

How Do I Get Into A JClickParty.com "Face-to-Face" Chat Room?

Simply click on the "Chat" button at the top of any page. The JClickParty.com Chat Applet will open and you will automatically be logged into the chat area of your home Metropolitan Area. Danny, the JClickParty.com Doorman will greet you and instruct you to select an individual chat room to join.

Once you select an individual chat room, you will be placed in one of 8 entry spots in that chat room. The name of the room you have selected will appear in the bottom right hand corner of the room, in blue. You will have 60 seconds to select a spot to sit or stand in that chat room. If you take longer than 60 seconds to select a spot, you will be automatically moved back to the Danny the Doorman welcome screen.

How Many People Can Join A JClickParty.com Chat Room?

JClickParty.com can hold up to 36 members in each individual chat room. When an individual chat room reaches 30 members, an additional room in the same category is automatically opened.

How Do I Move To Another Chat Room?

To move to another chat room in the same metropolitan area, simply click on the appropriate room name in the list on the left side of the screen.

To move to another chat room in a different metropolitan area, first click on the "State" drop down menu on the left side of the screen and select the new state you want to visit. Then select the new metropolitan area from the "Metropolitan Area" drop down menu. You will be taken to the new metropolitan area and be welcomed by Danny the Doorman to select a chat room.

How Do I Get Back To My Home Metropolitan Area?

Just follow the process described above to reselect your home state and metropolitan area. When you log out of JClickParty.com, your metropolitan area will be automatically be reset to your home area.

What Happens If I Have To Excuse Myself From The Chat Room For Some Reason?

If there is no activity from your computer on the site for 10 minutes, you will automatically be logged out. You will then have to log back in to access the chat room.

Why Does JClickParty.com Have An Etiquette Policy?


Unfortunately, because we have to. We would hope that all of our members would be mature and polite while on JClickParty.com, but that's just not reality these days. The "Etiquette Policy" is in place to deal with folks that may misbehave while communicating with other members on JClickParty.com, either in our chat rooms or via email.

How Do I Report A Member I Think Has Violated The JClickParty.com Etiquette Policy?

There are two ways to file a report:

1. If you are in a chat room and another member behaves in a way that you feel violates our "Etiquette Policy," click on the "Report Member Etiquette Violation" button on that member's profile box immediately. A form will appear asking you to provide the particulars of the incident.

You MUST complete this form as soon as possible in order for us to capture and review the transcripts of the conversation between you and the member you are reporting.

2. If you receive an email from a member that you feel violates our "Etiquette Policy," please forward the email to ettiquette@JClickParty.com. Make sure that both your user name and the user name of the person you are complaining about are in the forwarded email. Also be sure to include a brief description of what concerned you in the email you received.

We will review your report as soon as possible and respond with any action we have taken.

How Do I Know What Words Or Phrases Violate The JClickParty.com Etiquette Policy?

Well… that's a good question. We obviously aren't going to post words or phrases we find objectionable and in essence violate our own policy. But use some common sense in determining what language you use on JClickParty.com:

1. No curse words or phrases.
2. No ethnic or racial slurs or phrases.
3. No words or phrases you wouldn't want to be called yourself.

Member Services

How Do I Change My E-Mail Address Or Password?

Easy! Log-in to JClickParty.com and then go to the "Member Services" section and click on "Change Your Email Address" or "Change Your Password." You can then choose to change your email address or password. When changing email addresses, a confirmation email will be sent to both your old and new email addresses confirming that the change has been made.

Can I Block Another Member From Contacting Me In A Chat Room Or Via Email?

Yes. If there is another member that you feel uncomfortable communicating with, you can block them from further communication in one of two ways:

1. If you want to block the other member while in a chat room, simply click on the "Block Member" button to the right of the member's picture. They will then be blocked from contacting you in a chat room or via our E-Messaging service.
2. If you want to block another member after receiving an email from them, log-in to JClickParty.com and then go to the Search section. Look up the member's profile and click on the button. They will then be blocked from contacting you in a chat room or via our E-Messaging service.

Once you block a member, they will also not be able to see you in a member search and you will be removed from any lists they may have you on (Pal, VIP, etc.)

Please remember, if you have already given your email address directly to another member, you are responsible for blocking contact from that member via your own email system.

Can I Un-Block Another Member After I Have Blocked Them?

Yes. Simply go to the "Your Block List" page and delete the member from your "Block List."

How Is My User Name Assigned?

Your user name is assigned based on the first name you enter in your membership profile and what number member of that particular first name you are. Example: If you are the 143rd Patrick to subscribe to JClickParty.com, your user name will be Patrick143.

Can I Change My User Name?

No. Once your user name is assigned it is permanent.

How Do I Suspend My membership?

Go to "Member Services" and click on "Suspend Your Account." Your membership will be immediately suspended and a notification sent to the email address registered on your profile. Suspending your membership will immediately block the display of your profile in any member search and on any other member's Pal and/or VIP list.

If I Suspend My membership, Does The Clock Continue To Run On My membership?

Yes. Even while your membership is in a suspended mode, your membership time will continue to expire.

How Do I Re-Activate My membership?

Go to "Member Services" and click on "Activate/UnSuspend Your Account." Your membership will be immediately re-activated and a notification sent to the email address registered on your profile. Re-activating your membership will immediately redisplay your profile in any member search and on any other member's Pal and/or VIP list (if your Profile Display Preferences permit it).

JClickParty Pals

What Is A JClickParty Pal?

A JClickParty Pal is a friend or acquaintance that you invite to join the JClickParty.com community. If your Pal becomes a member, he/she will be added to your list of active JClickParty Pals and be displayed in the JClickParty Pals section of your profile.

If your Pal ends up becoming a paid JClickParty.com subscriber as the result of your invitation to join JClickParty.com (and wasn't already in our database), you will earn points based on the length of your Pal's paid subscription. (see our JClickParty Referral Rewards Program for details.)

How Do I Invite Someone To Join JClickParty.com?

Simply click on the "Pals" button at the top of the any page. At the "JClickParty Pals" page, enter your friend's email address and then select the state and metropolitan area they live in. When you are finished adding your friend's information, click on the "Submit" button at the bottom of the page. You will see a status page letting you know that invitation(s) have been sent to your friend(s) or that they are already in our database.

How Is My Friend Actually Invited To Join JClickParty.com?

Once you add your friend to your Pals list, we send them one of two emails:

  • If they are not already in our database, they will receive an email extending your invitation to join JClickParty.com.

  • If they are already a JClickParty.com member, they will receive an email extending your invitation to join your JClickParty Pals list. They can then click on a link in the email that will take them to a webpage where they can accept or decline your invitation.

If your friend is already in our database as the result of being invited to join JClickParty.com by someone else and still not a member, they will not receive an invitation email from you.

Do My Friends Have To Be Paid Subscribers For Them To Be Added To My JClickParty Pals List?

No. As soon as your friends complete their JClickParty.com membership profiles, your Pals list will be automatically updated with their user name and photo placeholder (displayed until an approved photo is submitted.)

Is There A Limit To How Many Pals I Can Add To My List?

No. There is no limit.

Can I Remove Myself From Another Member's Pals List?

Yes. Go to that member's profile and click on the "Please Remove Me From This Pals List" in their Pals section.

Can I Block Myself From Being Displayed On Another Member's PalsList?

Yes. Go to the Member Services section and then click on "Display/Block My Profile on Other Member's JClickParty Pals/Connections Lists." But please note: this will block your picture from being displayed on ALL JClickParty Pals/Connections Lists you are on.

If My Pals Don't Submit An Approved Photo Within The Required Seven Days, Will They Be Taken Off My Pals List?

If an approved photo is not submitted within the required seven days, your Pal's profile will be suspended and they will not be visible on your Pals list. Once an appropriate photo is approved, your Pal's profile will be reactivated and they will appear again on your profile's Pals list.

If A Pal Loses The Invitation Email, Can They Still Join JClickParty.com?

Yes. Anyone can join JClickParty.com by simply going to the Home Page and clicking on the "Join Now" button. We keep track of all emails you have used to invite Pals to JClickParty.com. As long as your friend signs up using the same email address you used to invite them, they will still show up on your Pals list. However, you will only get JClickParty Referral Rewards points if a Pal signs up via the link in the Pals invitation email.

What Is The VIP List?

Your VIP list is made up of other JClickParty.com members whose profiles you found interesting and "bookmarked" during a member search. You may have seen this referred to as a "Hot List" on some other sites.

Is There A Limit To How Many VIPs I Can Add To My List?

No. There is no limit.

How Can I Tell If Another Member Has Me On Their VIP List?

Click on "Member Services" at the top of the site and then select "members Who Have VIP'd You", or go to your Home page and select "members Who Have VIP'd You" from "Your Lists". Any member that added you to their VIP list (and not chosen to block other members from seeing who they have on their VIP list) will appear on this list.

Can I Remove Myself From Another Member's VIP List?

The only way to remove yourself from another member's VIP list is to block that member or to globally block your profile from all other member searches.

What Is The Referral Rewards Program?

JClickParty.com's exclusive Referral Rewards Program provides members with FREE JClickParty.com subscription time in return for their inviting friends and acquaintances to join JClickParty.com. When your friends join JClickParty.com as a paid subscriber within 30 days of receiving your JClickParty Pals invitation email, you earn a Referral Rewards point for each month of paid subscription.

When you earn 10 points, you are automatically rewarded with 30 FREE days of subscription time. You will automatically receive an additional 30 FREE days of subscription time for every 10 points you subsequently earn.

Do My Friends Have To Subscribe Via The JClickParty Pals Invitation Email For Me To Receive Referral Rewards Credit?

Yes. You will only receive Referral Rewards points if your friends use the link in the JClickParty Pals invitation email to access JClickParty.com and subscribe.

Do My Friends Have To Immediately Sign Up For A Paid Subscription For Me To Receive Referral Rewards Credit?

No. Your friends are welcome to first enjoy a 14-day JClickParty.com Trial membership. But they must become a paid subscriber within 30 days of your JClickParty Pals invitation for you to receive Referral Rewards credit.

If My Friends Are Already In The JClickParty Database, But Not Yet members, Do I Get Credit If They Sign Up?
No. If your friends have already been invited by someone else to join JClickParty.com, but are not yet members, they will NOT receive an email as the result of your attempt to invite them to JClickParty.com If they subsequently sign up for JClickParty.com, they will however appear on your JClickParty Pals list.

JClickParty Connections

What Is JClickParty Connections?

When you refer a Pal to JClickParty, you create a virtual connection between you and that Pal. When they refer a Pal to JClickParty, they create a virtual connection between themselves and that Pal. And so on, and so on, and so on….

We have developed special software to dynamically track all of those virtual connections between all of our members. So when you view a member's profile and a JClickParty Connection exists between you two, it is graphically displayed for you on the profile.

It works like this…. Let's say that:

1.Cindy refers her Pal Karen.
2.Karen then refers her Pal Carlton
3.Carlton refers his Pal Kathy
4.Kathy refers you!
5.You happen to look at Cindy's profile in a member search and it turns out you and Cindy are connected!

And it will all be laid out for you at the bottom of Cindy's profile. So now you are thinking, what's the big deal right? The BIG deal is that you now have something to break the ice with Cindy if you email her or chat with her. Meeting new friends through your friends is the best way to do it! And JClickParty Connections is where to do it!

You just never know who you are going to meet on JClickParty.com….

If A Member Requests That Their Profile Is Blocked From JClickParty Connections, Does That Change The Virtual Connection I May Have With Another Member?

No. If a member does request that their profile be blocked from JClickParty Connections, we don't display their user name in the virtual connection and we replace their picture with a graphic that reads "Profile Blocked At Member's Request." This keeps the integrity of the virtual connection and the member's privacy intact at the same time.
